"HEALTHY EATING TIPS AND MEASURES TO TACKLE CHOLESTEROL"



"Our body is not a waste bin ,as nowadays measures are been taken to protect our nature from harmful pollutants measures should also be taken to protect our body from unwanted toxins. Our children are obese,either have or are being threatened by diabetes ,high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and not socially adjusting properly to others because of a lack of fitness or proper diet".One among the major threat being faced among youngsters and adults is increased cholesterol to say precisely "BAD CHOLESTEROL".Before talking anything else let's first of all get a clear idea about what cholesterol is.Blood cholesterol is a fatty substance produced naturally by your liver and found in your blood.It is used for many different things in your body,but it can become a problem when there is too much of it in your blood.The two main types of blood cholesterol are :-LDL and HDL.


(A)Low Density Lipoprotein(LDL)-Also known as "bad cholesterol" because it can add to the build up of plaque in your arteries and increase your risk of getting coronary heart disease. (B)High Density Lipoprotein(HDL):-also known as "good cholesterol" because it can help to protect you against coronary heart disease. In healthy people ,it is normal to have more of the "bad" LDL cholesterol when compared to “good” HDL cholesterol,but you should aim to keep your LDL cholesterol down and HDL cholesterol up .Several serious medical studies and entire referenced books show that lowering cholesterol with medications did NOT reduce the number of deaths by stroke nor the amount of sickness,including heart attacks.In addition ,some commonly prescribed cholesterol-lowering drugs actually lowered the good HDL cholesterol as well, putting you at highger risk of an early heart attack.

Health is correlated with quality of life.If you get regular physical activity, have social connections,control your cholesterol,keep your blood pressure at a normal level,don't smoke-these things can make an enormous difference not only in how long you live, but how much you enjoy your life in those years.

Once a health reporter asked a famous hero,A.J.Jacobs, that what was his goal in having a healthy life style? and his answer was something like this-“My goal?To test out every diet and exercise regimen on planet earth and figure out which work best.”He added more,“I sweated, I cooked nutritious food, I learned to pole dance, in the end, I lost weight,lowered my cholesterol and doubled my energy level.I feel better than I ever have ”.


STRATEGIES:-

  • -So by simply switching to a healthy plant based diet can lessen stroke risk by reducing cholesterol and blood pressure,flooding your body with antioxidant and improving your blood flow.

  • -If you are trying to lower your bad cholesterol, you should also aim to eat foods that are high in dietary fibre,particularly soluble fibre, because they can reduce the amount of LDL cholesterol in your blood.These foods include: Fruits,

  • -Legumes(chickpeas,lentils,soybeans,four-bean mix and baked beans),

  • -Cereals(oats and barley)

  • -Eat plenty of veggies,

  • -Limit intake of salty and fast foods like pastry, pizza, hotchips, hamburgers etc),

  • -Have 2-3 portions of oily fish every week, -Select lean meat ,etc.

Doing regular exercise mainly walking .The most common objection that i hear to walking as exercise is that it's too easy,that only sweaty, strenuous activity offers real benefits.But there is abundant evidence that regular,brisk walking is associated with better health,including lower blood pressure, better moods and improved cholesterol ratios.


Summary

Therefore,my dears eating a variety of healthy food as I mentioned above and regular exercise mainly walking promotes good health and can help reduce the risk of cholesterol.After all it's we ourselves who should face the consequences of our doings not others and it's our solo duty and responsibility to protect our body and to keep it holy, as our body is the holy temple of God,we should keep it holy both spiritually and physically.May God bless you all!
